BRrip / BDrip (BluRay Disk Rip)

BDRips is the short form of Blue Ray Disk Rip that is encoded directly from the BluRay Disk. As it comes from a direct Blue-ray disk, the quality of the movie then becomes sharper, smoother (because of higher framerate), more details (contains higher resolution), better viewing experience (because of higher bitrate), lower size (also have a better encoding that reduces size without sacrificing quality). The resolution of BDrip usually has a resolution of 720p or 1080p and is encoded using the Matroska (.mkv) container and x264 codec.
BRrip or Blue Ray rip is encoded from a Blu-ray release, which is in itself a ripped version. Thus, BRrip is a compressed version of an already ripped Blu-ray disc.

DVDRip is a copy of the final released DVD. If possible this is released PRE retail (for example, Star Wars episode 2) again, should be excellent quality. DVDrip is released in SVCD and DivX/XviD.

Web-dl comes from a website where the movie or TV show is downloaded via an online distribution website (web download), such as iTunes. The quality of the Web-dl is also quite good since they are not re-encoded. The video (H.264) and audio (AC3/AAC) streams are usually extracted from the iTunes file and then remuxed into an MKV container without sacrificing quality.

This is a file ripped from a DRM-free streaming service, such as Hulu, Crunchyroll, or WWE Network. The quality is comparable to WEB-DL, but bitrates are lower to save on streaming bandwidth. The file will be extracted from the RTMP protocol and losslessly remuxed from an MP4 or FLV container to MKV.

TV is currently one of our means of entertainment. Many people have a TV card in their computer and with it we can watch TV on PC. Recording are possible directly from the TV with some high quality cards. However, the quality depends on how clean your TV screen is and how transparent the channel is. TV rip is the ripening that is done on television and released on the internet.

A cam is a theater rip that is usually captured with a digital video camera from theater. It is also called Hall print in some territories. Sometimes used tripod to minimize camera shaking, but a lot of the time this won’t be possible, so the camera makes a shake. Sound is taken from the onboard microphone of the camera, and especially in comedies, laughter can often be heard during the film. Due to these factors, picture and sound quality are usually very poor, but sometimes we’re lucky, and the theater will be fairly empty and a fairly clear signal will be heard.

VHS tapes are sent to various stores to promote many movies. The main feature of this is that the company name and copyright related text are floating on the screen at the beginning. In most cases, these texts float in one corner throughout the movie. All the tapes that are released on the Internet are referred to as SCR Rip. The quality of these movies will depend on the encoder and the tape. If the equipment is good, then the quality is bound to be good.

It can be called Screener’s cousin. The difference is that it is ripped from DVD instead of VHS tape. However, there is no benefit in being happy, even in this special type of text floats all the runtime. Rather, there is nothing to do if the text floats in the middle of the screen.

Asian Silvers / PDVD

There is disagreement on the internet about the full meaning of this. Some say it means Pre DVD Rip and some say Pirated DVD Rip. But whatever it is, it belongs to our continent of Asia. Pre-DVD rip means that the movie is released on the internet before the official release of the movie. And these discs are usually silver discs but which is cheaper.
